On Tuesday, May 3, 2022, Flywheel Capital was a proud sponsor of the 2022 NAIOP Rocky Mountain Real Estate Challenge – a real-world development competition between teams from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado and Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. “The Challenge” is the premier real estate competition that pairs graduate-level students with industry leaders in the Colorado real estate community. 

This year’s featured Challenge project was Peak Innovation Park – a 900-acre master development located at the entrance to the Colorado Springs Airport in southeast Colorado Springs, Colorado. As the largest master-planned development in Colorado Springs, Peak Innovation Park will cater to office, industrial, retail, entertainment, recreation, and hospitality uses in a city with some of the most sought-after zip codes to buy a home in the country.

The Challenge is adjacent to Flywheel’s multi-phased Peak Technology Campus project, a 210,000sf office complex. Building one was recently completed, and a video of it can be found here.

Collectively sponsored by Urban Frontier, the Colorado Springs Airport, and Flywheel Capital, more than 40 of the state’s best graduate students teamed to plan for a 25-acre parcel located within Peak Innovation Park.
